Periodic offerings and excerpts, often from either one of my currently published books or a work in progress (WIP).
Hope you enjoy reading this “stuff”. Just remember, it is free.

With the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk, countless numbers of people have felt lost and confused. Many are turning to prayer for the first time in a long time, and many are returning to their faith and to churches. Many others question whether they would be able to, wonder if God would take them back, would give them another change. In RANDOMIZATION, God gives Matthew numerous chance, even though Matthew was a serial killer and claims he does not believe in God. Two key takeaways:
– Even if you don’t believe in God, God believes in you.
– Even if you have been away, God welcomes you back.
Perhaps someone will find this useful. Hopefully you will at least enjoy reading it.

One of my current WIPs is titled POETICAL. Dane Walker is a disgruntled poet. His poetry tends to get darker, morose and at times macabre, as the book progresses. Below is one such piece. (For the purposes of posting it here, my name is listed as the author for copyright purposes. In the book, it is of course attributed to Dane.)

I came across this the other day. I had cobbled this together at the last minute back in October 2021 for some type of a Halloween writing contest a winery was sponsoring. They were looking for a ghost stories with a 2,000 word maximum. I found out about the contest on the last day, several hours before the deadline. Beckler’s Bridge was written and submitted in less than 3 hours. No, it did not win, perhaps because it mentioned neither their winery nor their wine?
Once upon a time, many moons ago, I worked as an EMT. There was always talk of a haunted section of a road (Old Bush River Road). Responding to an accident, my partner claimed to have seen a girl in a white dress standing on the side of the road, and then she vanished. I took that ancient memory and Beckler’s Bridge was born.
